With more than 70 years of history, our food and service just gets better with age!
History
Vickie Mackew opened Vickie’s Snack Bar at 719 Park Avenue in Beausejour in 1950. The location was once a Greyhound Bus Stop. After more than 70 years, Vickie’s has become a staple in Beausejour. Vickie’s is open year-round, and is as popular a breakfast nook as it is a dinner destination. We were also one of the first places to offer bison burgers.
Our Food
We are still serving burgers and fries the traditional way they were prepared many years ago. We used the locally-grown potatoes from Interlake Potatoes Farm for our famous Vickie’s fries. Our fries are peeled and hand-cut daily to maintain their fresh taste and crispiness. Our beef and bison burgers are made fresh in-house weekly using the best quality beef and bison supplied by local butcher shop, cooked on a flat top grill and griddled to perfection. We are also known for our fresh breakfast with homemade fresh hashbrown and bottomless coffee.
You must try our signature cheeseburger which comes with Cheesewhiz to understand why our restaurant has been favoured by many people. If you are looking for something different, try our fan-favourite Honey Garlic Mozzarella Bacon Burger or challenge yourself with our Double Homestead Burger with 4 patties, bacon, ham, hash patty and the works.

Community
Through many years, several generations has been stopping at Vickie’s to recharge on their way to or back from the lakes.
Our restaurant history has a tight connection with the Beausejour community. It may be challenging to find a spot to sit down on a Sunday morning at Vickie’s since the local residents always gather at our restaurant after the church services for hot coffees and delicious breakfast. Many school kids in the local area got their first jobs at Vickie’s throughout the years.
We are blessed to have the support of the local community for a very long time.
